Friends that have Lasted Lifetimes, All Thanks to Alpha Chi Omega
When we talk about Alpha Chi, some of the first things that may come to mind are the connections that were made through your years as an undergrad. We recently reached out to our alumnae sisters asking what those connections have meant to them over the years, read on to see what Kelly Longfellow '96 had to say.
Did you meet your lifetime friend through Alpha Chi Omega?
Yes! At the Arlington, TX, Alumnae chapter holiday event, Jan 2002.
What experiences brought you together?
Besides both being Alpha Chi Omega initiates, life experiences, being able to share, laugh, cry, support, travel, similar interests, mutual and engage in activities outside of the alumnae chapter.
How have you stayed connected since Alpha Chi Omega?
I am still an Alpha Chi Omega, Life Loyal. We talk all the time as we celebrate twenty years of sisterhood/friendship!
What does this friendship mean to you?
Tons! I was there for the birth of her son, career, her divorce, and as she received her 25 yr pin. She supported me as I called off my engagement , started grad school, move for jobs, deployed to Afghanistan-twice, moved back to Texas, and earned my 25 year pin.
